I am happy with my smart, handsome husband and my three gorgeous, charming children. I teach lit and I love it. Joys include: chocolate, sleep, brightly colored glass objects, good books, and singing new wave 80s hits really loudly out of the open windows of my mini-van while picking up the carpool, thereby hilariously embarrassing the kids. Life is decent, with moments of greatness... So why am I nursing such secret rage and frustration? Join me as I sort it out.

um, that r2d2 is TOTALLY cool! does it move? does it beep? where did you get it?!?!?!
It was a Christmas gift to Ethan from his dad. (Earlier marriage.) It IS cool!!
It's way cute, but even better, it responds to voice commands! Seriously. You can ask it if it remembers Darth Vader, and it will do the little R2D2 scared shriek and shake. You can tell it to dance, and it will play the saloon music from the first movie and move back and forth rhythmically.
It will also play hide & seek with you.
OMG! what a cool gift -- JR and my boy would love it (okay, i would probably love it most of all!). is ethan totally into star wars like the boys in my house are? not that i don't like star wars, but i've become quite the expert since JR exposed the boy to the movies.
Yeah, Ethan has every color and type of light saber known to humanity. We have a big redneck trampoline in the back yard, and he and Simon and the neighbor boy like to jump up and down & light saber fight, with jedi moves. Heh.
Ethan is also totally into the Star Wars Clone Wars graphic novels. Are you familiar? He cannot stop staring at them.
i've seen the clone wars graphic novels at the comic book store, but we haven't gotten any for the boy ... yet. instead, he's been watching the clone wars cartoon series they had on cartoon network awhile back. (we had to have grandma tape them because we don't have cable.)
funny you should mention your trampoline, but just the other day, we were at our next door neighbor's house playing on their trampoline with blow-up lightsabers, doing the same exact thing!
In response to the one that begins with 'It was a Christmas gift to Ehan...'. :
It's not called a saloon, it's called a cantina!
To my mind everybody have to glance at it.
